  1. 10 Key Takeaways: Arts & Activism – Maria Sandoval

    1) Understand that we are not exclusively part of a delimited group in society. We part take in different spheres according to context.
    2) Don’t let your culture / history / leaders / contemporaries define who you are allowed to be or for who you want to fight. Identity is an ultimate choice.
    3) Where society rakes off, we need to take up.
    4) Expand your community further than your injury. Develop empathy and allow people for all backgrounds to fight for the same cause.
    5) Identity is an ultimate choice.
    6) Learn to respect, practice empathy and mingle outside your comfort zone.
    7) Don’t polarize situations.
    8) Never get discouraged by the amount or the seriousness of the trouble our society is going through. Every single little thing you do is worth doing and it will help to start or continue the growth of a bigger purpose.
    9) Radical hope is our best weapon.
    10) Kindness, vulnerability, and peaceful actions can be as strong (and even stronger) than any violent or aggressive offensive in our fight to create change.
