If protest is made illegal, make daily life a protest.

An interesting form of peaceful protest is daily life protest. If active protest has been outlawed, people can group together and protest in another way. People in Belarus got together and clapped for hours. Miners in Chile banged pots at 8pm exactly and turned their headlights on and off while they drove slowly at night. Merits of this principle are that it is more ridiculous that someone is arrested for doing a normal life activity like clapping or banging pots. It is non-violent and non-confrontational and safer. The challenge of it is that it is not as forward moving as actively protesting an issue.

General Strike

As a relatively capitalist world, we need our workers to keep working. Middle and lower class workers around the globe, fuel the world's manufacturing and industry. The challenge with general strikes is that they need to be wide-spread and incorporate planned, strategic, progressive escalation. As for the merits, strikes that incorporate all of the above challenging characteristics are VERY effective. 

Light Brigade

A definition: "A Light Brigade is a tactic where activists hold illuminated messages consisting of large lighted letters in public spaces at night. Light Brigades are best used in thoroughfare spaces such as highways and overpasses, iconic structures such as seats of government and monuments, or solemn gatherings such as vigils and marches." This tactic is very effective when combined with a largely traveled area and a solemn event at night. However, they can be challenging to make and can only say a few words, where many paragraphs can be written about whatever event is taking place.
