Final Activism Project

Detailed description of proposed project (describe issue you are addressing and well as strategies/approach you are considering):

We’d get a hold of a donor list, and invite a number of wealthy people from the L.A. area to our party. Then we’d also put up fliers in poor/lower class L.A. neighborhoods inviting them to the party for free (offering free food, alcohol, and entertainment). Then the proceeds of the rich partygoers would go towards lobbying for a universal basic income. And we would supply pamphlets to all party goers and take down their information to mobilize future parties. The end game is to get more people to imagine a world where a universal basic income exists. 

Locations you are considering:

Downtown L.A. in front of City Hall. We’re going to live stream it on the internet and publicize it so that others can throw similar parties in the future. 

Potential audience(s):

Anyone who attends the party or witnesses the livestream of the party.
