Environmental Activism

We started to narrow down to subject, which is environment in CalArts. We gathered research from about the recycling system at CalArts. As we know, CalArts' facility management team provides the resources necessary in order to compost and recycle, however students are not taking advantage of and/or respecting the environment in our community. Thus, as we have large number of smokers in our community, we are targeting them - urging/encouraging them to not throw their cigarette butts on the ground, which causes ground pollution.

In Progress...
We are currently gathering materials for the piece of art that is to be made.
We are finalizing the information that is to be put on the "educational document".

Wondering...
During our discussion, we were confronted with a challenge about how we deliver our idea in an Art form such as performances, paintings or installations. Moreover, we questioned what sites would be most effective? is there a way to gauge the targeted audience's reaction? should we put out comment cards to hear thoughts from people? which of the projects, that we have proposed to each other on the team, would be the most effective? how to keep the project itself eco-friendly?
